<div itemprop="description">WATKINSON, Stanley Roland - Passed away on Saturday, August 25th, 2012 at the St. Catharines General Hospital at the age of 89. Beloved husband of Alma (Dockstader) for over 66 years. Dear father of, Linda Barends (Pete), Bonnie Barends (John) and Gary Watkinson (Sherry). Much loved grandfather of Tricia Gemmell, (Jessie), Stephen Barends (Arlene), Krista Copeland (Kevin), Brandon Barends, Ryan Watkinson (Shauna) and Aaron Watkinson. Proud Great Grandfather of Hayley, Trinity, Aidan, Avagail, Anderson, Amelia, Owen and Keegan. Dear brother of Arthur Watkinson ( late Shirley), and sister Dorothy Gregory (late Ken). Stan will be missed by many extended family and friends. Predeceased by his parents Arthur and Minnie Watkinson, son Arthur, daughter Nancy, sister Hilda Evans, and grandson Tyler Watkinson. Stan served in the Armed Services and was stationed in Eastern and Western Canada and was employed at General Motors, St. Catharines for 30 years. Stan will be remembered for his wit and sense of humor and his love of tinkering with his old car, &ldquo;Henry&rdquo;. Visitation will be held at BUTLER FUNERAL HOME- Downtown Chapel, 33 Duke Street, St. Catharines on Tues August 28 between 2-4 pm and 7-9pm. The funeral service will be conducted in the Funeral Home chapel on Wed August 29 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations to Hospital for Sick Children, Canadian Diabetes Association and Celiac Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family. <br /> On-line condolences at www.butler-duke.ca</div>
