Swayze) - Slipped away peacefully to be with her Lord, after a lengthy illness on Sunday, February 23, 2014 in her 85th year. <br />Beloved wife and best friend to Norman for 66 years. <br />Cherished mother to Larry (Sharon), Diane (Dave) Dunk, Sue (Gord McBride), Jeff (Mary Ann) and the late Bryce (Gillian Allen). <br />Special Grandma to 5 grandchildren: Tara, Heather, Richard, Chelsea and Michelle. <br />She will be sadly missed by her sister Kay Swayze. <br />Norma will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. <br />Predeceased by her parents Percy and Norma, her brothers Glen, Clayton and sister Gloria. <br />Norma was a long time member of Bethel Baptist Church. <br />Her family would like to extend a heartfelt &quot;Thank You&quot; to the staff of Niagara Gardens Retirement Home and the St.Catharines General Hospital. <br /> <br />Norma's family will receive guests at BUTLER FUNERAL HOME- Downtown Chapel (33 Duke St. St.Catharines) 905-684-2334 on Wed February 26th from 5-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Bethel Baptist Church (10 Arlington St. St.Catharines) on Thurs February 27th at 11:00a.m. with interment at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens(2250 Hwy #20, Fonthill) to follow at 2:00 p.m. <br />If so desired, memorial donations to Compassion Canada (www.compassion.ca) or Child Evangelism Fellowship (www.cefcanada.ca).
