ANDERSON, Mrs. June (Bell) - After a long battle with cancer, June passed away peacefully in St. Catharines with her family and niece Gloria by her side on Friday Sept 5th, 2014 at the age of 83. She was an admirable, self-sacrificing and loving mother to her children Gerald Jr. (2000), Heather, Jeffrey and Julie and will be fondly missed by her only Grand-Daughter Jéda.

June was joyful, kind-hearted and selfless to a fault. She was one of the oldest members of the B.M.E. Church, a faithful Christian and a dedicated AVON representative for over 40 years. June loved people and she knew that they loved her. She was known as a peacemaker, a sympathetic ear, a confidant and a forever loyal friend to everyone. June was a woman of great strength, faith and stature who is not dead, but is alive with Jesus and safely resting in her Saviour's arms.

She is predeceased by her brothers Leslie and Bob Bell (1976), her sister Dorothy Dorsey (2000) and her late husband Gerald Sr. (2013). Treasured memories of June will immensely flood the hearts of surviving siblings Marjorie Dawson, Jean Tomlinson (Hooper), George Bell Sr., Dr. Rev. Ralph Bell, as well as countless nieces, nephews, devoted friends and acquaintances. A special thanks to CCAC, St. Elizabeth (Judi/Darryl), ParaMed and the Red Cross for their knowledge, care and support.

The family will receive guests at BUTLER FUNERAL HOME- DOWNTOWN CHAPEL (33 Duke St. St. Catharines 905-684-2334) on Thursday Sept 11th from 11-1 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. A funeral service to celebrate June’s old and new life will be held in the funeral home chapel on FRIDAY Sept 12th at 11:30 a.m. with interment at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.

Memorial donations to the Anderson family in Trust will be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
