Anderson, Gerald Renaldo
After a long battle with cancer and with great sadness Gerald, born in Evanston, Illinois on November 11, 1932 left this life at age 80 on February 26, 2013 at the St. Catharines General Hospital.
Husband of June Anderson, father of Gerald Jr. (predeceased 2000), Heather, Jeff, Julie, and Grand-father of Jeda. Predeceased by his mother Daisy Jones and his father George Eden.
Gerald was a Second Degree Black Belt and served as a veteran in the Korean War. He was a General Motors Canada Retiree, loved art, fishing and roller skating. He was known to many as "Handyman", "The Shadow", and most dearly "D.A.D."
Gerald was a man of great strength, faith and stature who is safely resting in the arms of Jesus.
Family will receive friends at Butler Funeral Home (33 Duke Street, St. Catharines 905-684-2334) on Sunday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Chapel service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. with interment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. In memory of Mr. Anderson donations may be made to Hopsice Niagara.
