<div itemprop="description">EVANS, George Richard - It is with heavy hearts that the family grieves the loss of George, who passed away on November 18, 2012, surrounded by his family, after a courageous battle with brain cancer. George will be deeply missed by his devoted and loving wife Jenny. Cherished father of Debbie (John) Dominic. Proud grandfather of Jeremiah and Katrina Dominic. Predeceased by his parents and five siblings. Painfully missed by his dear and loyal feline companion Charlie, and special grand-dog Journey. George touched the lives of many people with his twinkling blue eyes, warm charismatic smile, unending generosity and his trademark sense of humour. He loved meeting and talking with people and was instantly adored by everyone he met. The family is thankful to all the friends and family who supported and cared so deeply and lovingly for George during his two year journey. Words cannot express our deepest appreciation and sincere gratitude to the staff and volunteers at Hospice Niagara (Stabler Centre) for their loving care, kindness, compassion and endless support. Friends will be received on Friday, November 23, 2012 at BUTLER FUNERAL HOME (33 Duke St., St. Catharines 905-684-2334) from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service to celebrate George's life will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 10 am in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens, Fonthill. If desired, memorial donations to Hospice Niagara (Stabler Centre) or Wellspring Niagara would be appreciated.
